Early Life
- Julius grew up in dangerous times, he always wanted to become a soldier since he was little.
- His father died when he was only 16 years old.
- He was appointed as a high priest of Jupiter.
Life in Rome
- Life in Rome was hard for the poor they worked everyday and could not have the comfort of a nice house.
- For the more wealthy life was good.
- Many people became gladiators, slaves, chariot races.
+Education
- Julius had a great education by one of the best teachers in Rome.
- His teachers name was Marcus Antonio Gnipho.
Accomplishments
- Julius had never lost a war.
- He extended Rome by capturing Gaul
- He had also produced the first form of a newspaper called the Acta Diurna.
Why he is significant
- Julius was significant for successfully becoming dictator of Rome after taking Gaul.
- Julius also made the worlds first calendar, which is where we have 12 month's in one year.
Interesting Facts
- Julius died at the age of 55.
- Julius was a statesman before being a soldier.
- His father died when Julius was only sixteen years old.
