BIOGRAPHY

  • Born in 100 BC
  • Assassinated on March 15, 44 BC
  • Parents: Aurelia and Gaius Julius Ceasar
  • Father died we Julius was 16

BIOGRAPHY

  • Julius's first marriage broke off at age 18 (w/Cossutia)
  • After divorced, he married Cornelia and had his only child, Julia
  • His wife (Cornelia) passed away in 69 BC
  • 2 years later he married Pompeia, but later divorced in 62 BC

BIOGRAPHY

  • Julius Caesar was awarded the civic crown for saving the life of a citizen
  • By 31, he had fought in several wars and became involved in roman politics
  • After many alliances, Caesar had become the Dictator of The Roman Empire
  • He was the first Roman Army Commander to invade England
  • (In 55 BC & again in 54 BC)

  • In one alliance, he had married his own daughter to Pompeii to consolidate
  • Their alliance. Then he himself married Caipurnia the daughter of a leading member
  • Of the popular faction.

  • Marcus Brutas, Caesar's closest friend, allows himself to be
  • persuaded to join a group of conspiring senators because of
  • a growing suspicion, he had been implanted by Julius Caesar.
