• When searching for information about John Hughes there was pros&cons
• I tried to find a print source about his movies or him, but i was unsuccessful
• I then went to find online articles. There was plenty to read and choose from.
• Unfortunately, finding the authors of the articles was difficult.
• However,I found lots of information about the movies he produced and directed

EARLY LIFE

• Hughes ws born on Feb. 18, 1950 and died on Aug. 6, 2009.
• Hughes grew up in Lansing Michigan in a neighborhood of mostly girls and old people.
• He spent most of his time by himself listening to the Beatles.They were his idols.
• He then went to the unniversity of Arizona but soon dropped out.
• Hughes married Nacy Ludwig and had two sons

EARLY CAREER

• Hughes began his career as an adverting copywriter in Chicago after being a college drop out.
• Then sold jokes to established preformers like Rodney Dangerfield and Joan Rivers.
• In NYC he hung around National Lampoon Magazine, then started writing stories for them.
• This gave an early indication of Hughes's ear for the particular rhythm of teen speak and indignities in general.
• After many film successes Hughes earned a 3 movie deal which then lead to his directorial deput.
