As a Representative of William &Mary from 1766-1770

SIGNED THE VIRGINIA ASSOCIATION OF JUNE 22, 1770

which pledged to abandon importation of British goods until the Townshed Duties were repealed.

TOOK PART IN THE VIRGINIA CONSTITUTION CONVENTION IN 1776
