QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in elementary education
• Internship or student teaching

DUTIES

• 50 hours per week
• Busy times are beginning of school and data assesment times.
• Lots of at home work
• Lesson planning, grading, data assesment

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Salary depends on experience and height of degree.
• The benefits are health insurance and vacations
• You can advance to a higher level of teaching or administrative jobs

PERSONAL SATISTFACTION

• Likes- seeing kids grow and watching them gain confidence
• Dislikes- paperwork and standardized testing periods
• Opportunities- classroom teacher, can advance to administration

WHAT DID I DO?

• Gave a spelling test
• Graded papers
• Helped kids better understand the lesson
• Observed my host's everyday tasks
• Built relationships with students
