Jewish LIFE
In the Holocaust.
2.
REGISTRATION
When Jews arrived they were registered.
After that they had their head shaven before they could shower.
Once they had showered they were given a striped uniform to wear.
They wore these uniforms for more than weeks or months at a time.
3.
bREakfast and the awakining
Jews were awakened at 4 a.m. in the morning by a Kapo.
Jews were to get right up and start work as soon as possible.
When served breakfast the Jews held what was called a mess-tin.
If there was no mess-tin they were given no food.
The Kapo's give Jews 10 ounces of bread and a little amount of coffee.

Roll call
During roll call the prisoners were lined up in rows of ten.
Every prisoner must be at roll call that includes the ones who have died.
The SS watches as the Kapos are to count the thousands of prisoners.
If the roll call is messed up in any way they must start over again.
5.
Jewish work
The Jews would have to start working as soon as roll call was over.
If you are lucky enough you will get a good tool such as a shovel or pickax
The Jews worked 12-14 hours a day with bare hands.
The work consisted of moving heavy sand bags from one point to another.
Also to carry heavy stones and dig trenches or to bore a tunnel.

The Evening roll call
When Jews arrive they are controlled by the SS.
Jews carried the bodies of people that died during the work hours.
The Kapos are counting the prisoners including the dead ones.
The evening roll call takes hours some days it can be 10 hours long.
If a Jew tried to escape all Jews would watch until they were captured.
8.
Continue EVENING roll call
This is also the time chosen by the SS for hangings and other such things.
After the hangings Jews would stand in front of the gallows to look.
The SS used the hangings as a warning sign to the Jews.
9.
