JESUS CHRIST THE LAMB OF GOD

I. THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN

III. THE LAMB GAVE UP HIS MESSAGE

1. It is finished
“When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.”

2. It is the foundation of our faith
“For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News—and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power. The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.”

3. It is not understood

“No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God —his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord.”
