Zacchaeus the Tax Collector

Luke 19:1-10

  • Jesus passed through Jericho and in Jericho thee was a man called zacchaeuss who was a tax collector.he wanted to see Jesus but couldn't because he was so short. So he climbed a tree. Jesus passed under the tree and said to zacchaeuss I must stay at you house.Everyone said Jess was going to a house of a sinner because he had cheated them with money before. But Jesus forgave him and zacchaeuss said if I have cheated anyone, I will pay them back four times the amount they had.

SIGNIFICANCE AND MESSAGE

  • Jesus was kind to the person everyone hated because he cheated them. Jesus wanted us to learn from this because he was showing us that you should never be unkind and always treat people how they want to be treated.

JESUS FEEDS THE FIVE THOUSAND

MATTHEW 14:13-21

  • Jesus was preaching at the lake. As night fell, the disciples came and said to him "it's getting late and we have no food. Send them away" Jesus replied, “They don't need to go. Give them some food.” "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they said. Taking the food he divided up and blesssed it. The disciples gave it to everyone and then picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

SIGNIFICANCE AND MESSAGE

  • This is significant because Jesus is showing us to always give to people less fortunate than us. There are always people who are more hungry than us.

JESUS IS BAPTISED

Matthew 3:13-17

  • Jesus went to the Jordan to be baptized by John. John said no at first but Jesus insisted, "it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." So John agreed. Jesus was baptised and he went up out of the river. Then heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove. A voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

SIGNIFICANCE And message

  • Jesus was baptised even though he's God's son. He's setting an example for us by showing that anyone can be baptised, no matter who you are or what you've done.

THE GOOD Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37

  • “Teacher,” a man asked, “what should I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They left him half dead. Two members of the church passes but they didn't stop. Then a Samaritan stopped and helped the man. He cleaned his wounds and took him to an inn. The next day he took out some money and told the inn keeper to look after the man.

SIGNIFICANCE AND MESSAGE

  • The message that Jesus trying to tell us is that you should always help each other no matter who you are or they are. The significance is that the Samaritan and the man who helped him didn't know each other the Samaritan just helped him because he was kind.

JESUS' CRUCIFICTION.

Matthew 27:32-56

  • Jesus carried the cross to a place called Golgotha. Above his head the guards placed a quote above him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) then he died.

Significance AND MESSAGE

  • The significance of this story is that Jesus died to save us. He had faith in God and raised him from the dead

JESUS Resurrected

Matthew 28

  • At dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and Mary went to look at the tomb. an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. He said “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."

Significance AND MESSAGE

  • Jesus is showing us that he had blind faith in God, his father, and that we should do the same. The significance is that God raised Jesus from the dead.
