What did he want to achieve?
He wanted to be a pro football player and want to show his family that he could achieve something in his life.
His father
Jerry worked with his father and his brothers stacking bricks for houses.
If they did something wrong they'd all get whipped by Jerry's father after work or at night.
He left to a university to live his own life without his father. His strategy came to him when he was caught vandalizing the school. His punishment play football or get suspended.
Another strategy he used was to keep playing football and that made his dad respect him more. After college he got a call that he was going to be in the NFL Draft.
HOW DOES THIS TRANSFER TO ME AT SCHOOL?
It transfers to me because I get in trouble a lot with my dad if I do bad in school so if I show him (Which I have)
That I'm good in school or at something he will respect me as he's now
