Jeffery Deaver was born outside of Chicago on
May 6, 1950. He is currently 64 years old and lives in Illinois.
He has a bachelor of journalism degree from the university of Missouri and a law degree from Fordham University.
Jeffery Deaver also has a sister, Julie Reece Deaver, who is also an author. She focuses more on young adult novels.
Jeffery Deaver is an international #1 best selling author. His books are translated in over 25 languages and sold in over 150 countries.
His novels have appeared on best seller lists around the world including Los Angeles Times, Sydney Morning Herald, Italy's Corriere Della Sera, Times of London, and New York Times.
He is the author of 32 novels, a nonfiction law book, and three collections of short stories.
Deaver has been short listed or received a number of awards around the world.
His novels, The Bodies Left Behind, The Broken Window,and Edge were named Novel of the Year by the International Thriller Writers Association.
Deaver was also nominated for seven Edgar Awards from the Mystery Writers of America. He was recently short-titled for the ITV3 Crime Thriller Award for Best International Author.
Some of his books were so popular that they were made into movies. His books A Maiden's Grave, The Bone Collector, and The Devil's Teardrop were all made into movies.
