- Limits to immigration ended in the 1960s
- Most Jamaican families lived in Toronto

- Jamaican women were responsible for supporting their families
- Some families had to find childcare outside the home
- Older children had to watch their brothers and sisters before and after school

Many Jamaican families who have immigrated to Canada get together at cricket games, at festivals, and other social activities.

If Jamaican immigrants were trained well,they usually would try out for a education,healthcare,or open a business for their job.If they didn't have training,they would try manufacturing or service.
