IODINE 131 USES NATURE/BODY

  • Iodine 131 is used in the production of natural gases
  • Natural gases; often used for heating, cooking and electricity generation
  • Iodine 131 is also used in medical diagnostic and treatment
  • Iodine 131 is associated with nuclear energy

HOW IT IS USED

  • Causes mutation in cells
  • (Mainly used in diagnostics)
  • Tends to kill thyroid tissue
