  • Went to UCLA, set many records in athletics
  • 1942 Jackie was inducted into the U.S Army
  • 1945 Joins the Negro Baseball League. (Kansas City Monarchs)
  • 1945 Signs contract with Brooklyn Dodger
  • Feb.10,1945 He and Rachel Isum are married in Los Angeles

  • 1946 Jackie plays his first professional baseball game for the Montreal Royals at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City.
  • 1950 Jackie stars in his film biography The Jackie Robinson Story.
  • 1957 Jackie retires from baseball , becomes VP of a restaurant and food chain.
  • 1958 Jackie Robinson acts as a spokesman and fundraiser for the NAACP.
  • 1962 He is inducted into the Hall of Fame
