IVAN PAVLOV

LIFE FACTS:

• He was born on September 26,1849
• He died on February 27, 1936
• He is the oldest out of eleven kids
• His parents were Peter Dmitrievich Pavlov and Varvara Ivanovna Uspenskaya.

CHILDHOOD

• He was born in the Russian Empire
• He could read at age 7, but didn't go to school until he was 11.
• He loved to garden, ride his bike, row, swim, & play gorodki.

COLLEGE LIFE:

• Pavlov attended and graduated from the Ryazan Church School, before going to the seminary.
• In 1870, he left the seminary without graduating to attend a university in St. Petersburg.
• He enrolled in physics and math, and took natural science classes.
• Pavlov completed his course with an outstanding record
• In 1875 he got the degree of Candidate of Natural Sciences.

ADULTHOOD:

• He married Seraphima Vasilievna Karchevskaya on May 1, 1881
• He called her Sara for short.
• The first 9 years if their marriage they had financial problems.
• They had 4 children but the first one was a miscarriage.

CAREER:

• Pavlov's famous experiment is the Classical Experiment.
• He associated the dogs with a bell.
