WHY THIS PROJECT?

• Leadership matters. School leadership is second only to classroom instruction in factors that influence student learning.
• Instructional leadership is the highest priority in the principle ship.

DATA COLLECTION

• Chart daily use of time from August 6-September 25
• Categorize data by task: Management, PD/Coaching, Instruction, Meetings, TAP
• Analyze use of time to create an action plan to impact effectiveness

DATA

• 35 instructional days x 8 hours=280 hours
• 56% in classrooms(I)
• 28% TAP (ALT, TLT, Cluster)
• 16% Management

CONCLUSIONS

• Monitoring use of time has led to a more purposeful use of time.
• Increasing time in classrooms has improved delegating skills.
• Redefining leadership priorities is positively impacting and fostering a collaborative culture.
