  • Italy is located in Southern Europe by the Adriatic Sea and Tyrrhenian Sea.

CLIMATE

  • Italy has a Mediterranean type of climate which has cool/rainy winters and hot/dry summers.
  • Summer temperatures are 90' F or 32' C.

TYPE OF GOVERNMENT

  • After monarchy they became a democratic republic with its constitution.
  • Italy has a Parliamentary Republic type of government with the Executive, Judicary, and Legislative decisions.

RELIGION

  • Roman Catholic.
  • Italy is a Christian country, some of 88 percent of the population belong to Roman Catholic Churches.
  • Roman Catholic means they make their own rules and own beliefs.

FOODS

  • Examples: Pizza Margherita, Gelato, Roman Meals, Tiramisu, Pasta Carbonara, Italian Coffee, Risotto, Ravioli.
