The working group needs to consist of members from all stakeholder groups including Governors, School Staff, Pupils and Parents.

Not all stakeholders input will be required for every element of the group, but they need to be kept informed of all relevant information.

Initially we need to discuss and identify the goals and outcomes of the working group.

The groups goals may include IT policy creation, identifying appropriate investment in training and equipment, ways in which IT can engage, inspire and transform teaching and learning for ALL stakeholders and how we can communicate and collaborate effectively.

Once goals have been set we can then, either as a group or individually, research ways to achieve our goals.

We can then create a vision for IT at Banks, one which is shared by the whole school community and everyone feels a part of.

Whilst being mindful and understanding the ever changing face of technology and continually ensuring our group recognises any impact it has on our work.

We define the groups approach, whether it's hands on involvement utilising the skills available from group members or in an advisory capacity influencing policy and school development paths.

We may wish to consider an audit, giving us a line in the sand and an understanding of IT in Banks Road today helping us measure the groups influence and success.

The audit could include examples of how Banks uses IT in teaching, learning and communicating in school and at home by ALL stakeholders.

This slide serves as just one example of how the school can identify how we currently use IT and is relevant not only to teaching but all aspects of Banks Road involving IT.

For example:
Stakeholders could identify where they would consider us on the sliding scale and where they wish to be at the end of the current academic year.

Costs may include time, hardware, software, services & training.

Our return on investment needs to be measurable whether that's through cost and time saving and/or educational outcomes.

We can identify the relevant tools to help achieve our goals, these tools include skills and devices.

Evaluations need to be thorough taking into account total cost of ownership, including support and CPD etc. etc.
