ABOUT THE OBSTACLE COURSE

  • Kids overcome certain types of obstacles
  • Things in an obstacle course can include slides, etc.

GEOMETRIC CONCEPTS

  • 2D shapes
  • 3D shapes
  • Angles
  • Lines, segments, and rays

2D SHAPES

  • Rectangle; side of zipline, flag
  • Semi-circle; Skateboarding ramp
  • Square: piece of cardboard
  • Right triangle; side of slide

3D SHAPES

  • Cylinders; flagpole, zipline, monkey bars
  • Triangular Prism; slide
  • Rectangular Prism, "platforms", part of zipline

ANGLES

  • Right angle; slide, flagpole, ladder
  • Obtuse angle; part of zipline and monkey bars
  • Acute angle; part of zipline and monkey bars, slide
  • Straight angle; everything.
