ISTE has assembled a wonderful slate of quality candidates. But, I believe that the combination of my 40 plus years of experience in a wide variety of educational roles with advanced degrees in both instructional technologies and public administration and the opportunity to lead two national nonprofit organizations that focused on promoting the collaboration of business, industry and education makes me uniquely qualitied for an ISTE board position.

YOUR VOICE

ON THE ISTE BOARD
Because I have been there in both the K-12 classrooms and higher education lecture halls; been there helping teachers as an educational technology coordinator; been there as a PD trainer working closely with school administrator; been there as a corporate consultant to Skillsoft and IBM, been there in an ISTE vendor booth as an Adobe Educational Leader providing product information; and been there as a trained school counselor, I not only believe that I can relate with our various members. I also have the training and experience to both listen and communicate their concerns to the ISTE board and ITSE Director.

MOVING FORWARD

IN A TIME OF CHANGE
We are living in tumultuous times. Powerful emerging technologies, data systems and communications have all converged to change how we communicate, learn, work, play and even what we think about. This technology-driven convergence is fundamentally changing our institutions, especially schools and their classroom. While some educators have been resistant to adopting technology based solutions, educator like you that recognize the need for change, need to know that ISTE is an organization that will continue to help us move forward. Since joining ISTE in 2001, I have come to greatly relied on this organization to keep me fully informed and moving forward to the face of the ever increasing speed of technological change.
