Why did the Israeli-Palestinian conflict start?
~After Israel declared independence in May of 1948 many wars were declared by 5 neighboring countries due to the fact that they did not recognized Israel’s right to exist. Palestine wanted to govern themselves but then once they got their freedom leaders did not agree with Israel.
Why has it continued?
~They have continued to fight over the contested land. Palestine has also questioned Israel’s existence, and this has caused conflict.
What are the key issues that must be addressed
for it to end?
~The dispute between Israel and Palestinians over contested land.
