- Hezbollah is a Shiite Islamic terrorist organization.
- They killed three soldiers and kidnapped two for a prisoner exchange.
- Lebanon made the first attack.
- After a ambush, five soldiers were dead.
ISRAEL'S RETALIATION
- Israel blockaded and bombed hundreds of Lebanon people.
- Dozens of Lebanese died.
- 1,191- 1,300 Lebanese died.
- Israel responded with air strikes.

U.N STEPS IN
- 15,000 peacekeepers in Lebanon.
- U.N security council voted on ceasefire.
- It would hopefully cause peace between both countries.
- Israel continued strikes after ceasefire.
- Israel wanted governments back up on ceasefire.
