• Jesus is the Divine son of God
• A sin is disobeying God

Islam (Beliefs)

• The Qur'an is the word of God
• An angel turned away from God's will swayed Eve and Adam to eat fruit from the Forbidden tree
• Jesus is just a prophet and not the son of God
• A sin is against the teachings and not a grievance against God.

Similarities

Both Beliefs

• Both are Monothestic
• That God is all knowing and All powerful
• Turning point for the worse was when Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree.
• Both believe Satan is real swaying people away from God's will.

Purpose of Text

For both Religions, each has a mission to reach potential followers and teach them the history and knowledge on what they believe is the right way to live. And of course since the Religions believe in different things, their reasonings also differs

It's really the same for most religions when talking about the set up itself. The text, including the Creation story which is in both Islam and Christianity, is to give knowledge and instill spirituality for its followers and learners.
