Isaac Newton's first law of motion (part 1)

  • Isaac Newton's first law of motion says that an object will stay at rest unless acted on by inertia.
  • Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to any change in its state of motion.

Newton's first law of motion (part 2)

  • Isaac Newton's first law is saying that if an object is not moving than the object will not move at all unless an external or outside force wants to move the object.

Isaac Newton's second law of motion (part 1)

  • Newton's second law of motion says that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables- the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object.

Isaac Newton's second law of motion (part 2)

  • The formula for the second law of motion is F=MA
  • The mass and acceleration affect the total force of an object because the mass of the object could be big and the acceleration could be slow going up a hill but going down a hill the object with huge mass would go down the hill faster.

Isaac Newton's third law of motion (part 1)

  • Newton's third law of motion states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

  • An example of the third law of motion is that when the quarterback on a football team has the ball then the left tackle takes out the snapper and gets the quarterback that is Newton's third law at work.
