  • 1642-1727
  • 1678 Isaac experienced a mental breakdown
  • He was born on Christmas Day, as was premature
  • Got his bachelors degree at Cambridge
  • Physicist and Mathematician

UNIQUE FACTS:

  • Was only 26 when he became a professor of math
  • Helped make the first flights to the moon possible
  • Enjoyed drawing
  • Became knighted for political efforts
  • One of the most influential scientists of all time

CONTRIBUTIONS:

  • Sir Isaac Newtons greatest contribution to science was the laws of motion.
  • He discovered this while sitting under his apple tree when an apple fell on his head.
  • They opened up new doors into finding new information.
  • It also disproved any other theory's people had.
  • The three laws were law of inertia, law of acceleration, law of action and reaction.

  • The church didn't love his ideas, but they didn't punish him for it.
  • The church used to punish scientist for the work they did, but not for Isaac.
  • By the time Isaac came along the church stopped the punishing.
  • So in turn he got away with it.
