• There can be as few as 8 different languages or as many as 16 or 17
• There are also a number of the Iroquoi languages that have been extinct for over a century

• The languages they speak are Cayuga, Cherokee, Huron, Mingo, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca,Tuscarona, and Wyandot.
