  • are the Arab and the Kurdish.
  • Arab has 80% of the people.
  • Kurdish has the other 20%.

HUMAN GEOGRAPHY

  • Women usually wear headscarfs and long dresses while men wear suits or just a T-shirt and jeans. They follow many different religions.

PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY

  • It is in the middle east
  • bordering the Persian Gulf
  • and in between Iran and
  • Kuwait. The absolute location is 33 degrees North and 44 degrees West.

CHANGING IRAQ

  • After the war in 2003 the country was in bad shape. People who tried to fix the country had gotten killed or overtaken. There were terrorist taking over the whole country. Since then it is starting to get better.

  • Iraq used to be controlled by Britain. In 1932 they gained independence from Britain by a monarchy. In 1958 the monarchy was overthrown and Iraq took over.

IRAQ HOLIDAYA

  • Iraq has New Years and Christmas on the same day as the U.S. On May first they have Labor Day and on July 14th they have republic day.

IRAQ

  • People in Iraq have troubles finding water that is good to drink. There is a lot of oil spills from their oil fields. They don't have a lot of land to crop crops because of desert and erosion.
