  • Its a Theocratic Republic government.
  • The current leader is Hassan Rouhani.
  • One current event is that Iran leaders are not allowing military inspections.

  • The name of its capital is Tehran.
  • Iran is located in Middle East of Asia.
  • Iran´s population is 80,840,713 and the Capitals population is 8,353 million.
  • The countries around Iran are Saudi Arabia,Afghanistan,Pakistan,Iraq, Azerbaijan,Aremia and Turkmenistan.

ECONOMY

  • The type of currency is Iran Rial [IRR].
  • Some Iran exports are petroleum,chemical and petrochemical products, fruits and nuts.
  • Main industries are textile,gas,petroleum,caustic soda, and petrochemicals.
  • Other important cities are Shiraz,Karaj,Tabriz,Mashhad.
  • Some imports are industrial supplies,capital goods,foodstuff and technical services.

RELIGION

  • Woman have to wear a Hijab to cover their faces and hair and both woman and men have to wear a chador which is a form of a dress .
  • Almost everybody is muslim but there are some other religions like shia,sunni,zoroastian,jewish and christian
  • The official language is Persian but people speak other languages like Azeri,Turkic,Turkic dialects,Kurdish,Gilakia,Arabic etc..
  • Some holidays are Jan 9 birthday of Muhammad and Imam Sadeq,Apr 1 Islamic republic day,May 2 birthday of Imam Ali

  • Is mostly arid or semiarid,suptropical along Caspian coast
  • Has 2 major Mountains Elburz and Zagros
  • Has one of the most ardeous places on the world the desert Ring-e Jenn
  • Some natural resources are petroleum,natural gas,coal,copper,lead,zinc,sulfur,etc..

  • Some traditional foods are Fesenjoon,Ghormeh sabzi,Kabob,Doogh,
  • The famous people are Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, HassanRouhani,Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Pierre Omidyar
  • Iranias spend much of their leisure time visiting one another and entertaining friends and relitives at their homes but they also like sports and go to a club called zurkhanehs
