IPROJECT

BY: ADAM AWWAD

Hi I'm Adam and my big question is How can I combine the two sports of basketball and soccer? It's simple really.(except for the goal.) I thought of doing this idea because I love both soccer and basketball.

THESE ARE THE RULES

  • 1.You have to either kick or dribble the ball.
  • 2.You can either drop the ball and start kicking it or you can lift it and start dribbling.
  • 3.Soccer fouls, free kicks, and penalties can now be thrown. And basketball fouls can now be kicked.
  • 4. There has to be a goalie, defender, attacker, midfielder, etc.
  • 5. If you push, pull, or physically hurt someone on the opposing side then its a foul, and if its in the box near the goal then its a penalty.

RULES (CONTINUED)

  • 6. If you run holding the ball without dribbling then that also counts as a foul.
  • 7. The last way that you can get a foul is if you take the ball before the other team takes their goal kick, foul, etc.

Now for some history. Some history and information about basketball is that the man that created basketball is called Dr. James Naismith. He is known world-wide and was born in 1986 in Ramsay, township, near Almonte.
The invention of basketball was created in 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts. It was made as sport that rarely injures people, its not supposed to injure people at all, yet still more than 375,000 boys and girls get injured due to playing basketball.
In 1949 the American NBA (National Basketball Association) started.

Some stuff about soccer Sadly, in soccer, the person who invented it is unknown probably because it was a group rather than an individual. Soccer was brought to America in 1870s, although, research shows that Soccer was brought to America in the 1950s. Did you know that "Pasuckuakohowog" actually means kicking ball sport? The sport would have nearly 100 people on one team.
