Each operation has an opposite.
Additions opposite is subtraction, subtractions opposite is addition.
Another word for opposite multiplicative inverse.
Division and multiplication are also opposites. Addition and subtraction as well as multiplication and division reverse eachother.
When you are doing inverse operations it is super helpful to have a number line.

You may ask
When you are doing inverse operations you may have to go into negatives and positives
Another way to do inverse operations is if you have a fraction you reciprocal.
That means to take the fraction flip it around and multiply.
