THE WAR STARTS/INVASION OF POLAND

• In 1939, the Germans attack Poland.
• On September 1st, the War starts in Poland.
• Germany bombs Warsaw, the capitol of Poland.
• In Polish, Warsaw is Warszawa(Var-sha-vo).
• Germany had to take Warsaw street by street.

Warsaw Taken

• By September 19, Warsaw has fallen.
• Poland is Taken by Nazi Germany.
• Germany breaks their pact with the Soviet Union.
• The Soviet Union helps the Polish Uprisings.
