PRESENTATION OUTLINE
-Insects have 4 main body parts
-The antennae are connected to the head
-They have 6 legs for walking
-They have three main body sections (Head, Thorax, and Abdomen)
-They have an exoskeleton to protect their internal organs
-Most insects have Compound Eyes and Wings
Some insects have evolved mouths to help them get the food they need. This Insect probably uncurls its mouth part and sucks up liquids. This helps the insects get easier.
Insects use their bodies to camouflage themselves from predators. This insect adapted to hide itself and not get eaten by other insects or animals.
One reason why insects are so successful is because their main purpose is to reproduce and continue the species. This means they will go to great lengths to keep the species going.
During the cockroach unit we learned how the cockroaches survive in the wild.
In the wild, cockroaches gather food by climbing trees and getting fruit in trees. They also gather fruit that has fallen around their nest.
One adaptation that the cockroaches have obtained is the ability to climb. Their feet cling on to most surfaces including glass!
