WHY INSECTS ARE SUCCESSFUL

  • Insects have special adaptions for each kind which helps them survive
  • Having different adaptions causes them to be able to get food and survive without problems.

WHY INSECTS ARE SUCCESSFUL

  • Insects are also able to be so successful because they can reproduce.
  • One reason why being able to reproduce helps is that some insects, such as ants and cockroaches, can reproduce very fast which, in turn helps the entire species stay alive.

WHY INSECTS ARE SUCCESSFUL

  • Some insects can camouflage.
  • With the camouflage insects are capable of hiding from predators as well as hunt for prey unseen.

WHY INSECTS ARE SUCCESSFUL

  • Another reason why they are successful is because some adapted to be strong.
  • Some insects, for example an ant, can carry very heavy things. Ants can carry things that are heavier than themselves which helps them they can get food.

MADAGASCAR HISSING COCKROACHES

  • During the investigation I have learned some of the adaptions the cockroaches have. They were problem solving ability and strength.
  • The cockroaches were able to figure things out within a couple of minutes as well as lift 47 pennies.

MEALWORMS

  • Mealworms don’t always survive. A pupa and a larva died but the last larva survived.
  • I learned that mealworms don’t always have the same power to survive.
