PRESENTATION OUTLINE
4 parts all insects have: 3 parts of the body( head, thorax, abdomen), antennae,
exoskeleton, and six legs.
2 parts most insects have: compound eyes, and wings.
Some insects such as ladybugs have a bright color saying that the insect is not a very good meal so the bright color keeps predators away.

Some insects adapt to the environment around them and they can blend in with their surroundings such as the butterfly in the picture.

Some insects imitate the color of actual poisonous insects so the one particular insect is not eaten.

Cockroaches are the insects we worked with and I learned so much about them. They are the most adorable insects I've ever worked with.
When they get scared they hiss, that's why they are called the Madagascar hissing cockroaches. The first time I heard them his, I got really nervous until I learned this fact.
There was a part in the investigation that my group had to play with the cockroaches by making and obstacle course and we thought it would turn out pretty well. But instead the cockroaches just hung out in the beginning of the obstacle course. (Tunnel)
Questions: Why do caterpillars and centipedes have more than six legs? Are they even insects?
