  • Native Americans were forced out
  • Had to go west if the Mississippi River

THE INJUSTICES OF THE NATIVE AMERICANS

  • They were forced to leave their home
  • Some people were separated from their families
  • They were stereotyped

INDIAN REMOVAL ACT

  • Andrew Jackson started the act
  • It lead to wars
  • Over 46,000 Indians were moved or killed

POLITICAL SIDE OF THINGS

  • They were deemed not part of society
  • Most treaties were illegitimate

POLITICAL INJUSTICE

  • Government forced them out
  • They were stereotyped as savages

ECONOMICAL STRUGGLES

  • They had to fund wars with the government
  • They had to sell their land and move west

  • The U.S. used over 40 million dollars to get rid of the Indians.

  • Many native Americans died
  • They were treated like garbage
  • They got disrespected a lot

  • The Cherokee had the " Trial of Tears"
