INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

CREATED MANY ISSUES

DANGER OF WORKING IN FACTORIES

  • If you put you limbs or fingers in the wrong place they would most likely be severed off
  • Without the invention of respiration masks you would inhale the linen fibers from the making of cloth and it will build up
  • Physical punishment, to speed up production

LONG HOURS OF WORKING IN THE FACTORIES

  • Very little pay, to almost no pay
  • Too many hours, all day work shifts. Ex: 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, if not later
  • Very little breaks in the day

CHILD LABOR

  • Children were hired most
  • No pay for them, thus more money for the employers
  • They would buy children from orphanages and force them to work
  • If they had gotten hurt no one would care

WORKER STRUGGLES

  • Unfair wages
  • Small increments of money for pay
  • Workers had little rights. Would be punished for taking a small break.
  • Would be fired for very small things. Such as if you had a child you would be fired
