Homes in the Indus Valley are strong. Some people in the Indus Valley live in a workshop. Richer people in the Indus Valley live in courtyards. Also, some people's homes have a flat roof, which is strong enough to have as an extra room.

People in the Indus Valley have different types of clothing. They had clothes like loin cloth, wrap skirts, and sandals. Most of their clothing is made with cotton and woollen yarn.

People in the Indus Valley had entertainment. They made things, farmed, and hunted.

People in the Indus Valley made lots of food. They had barley, peas, lentil, and legumes.

People in the Indus Valley loved to play. They played outside and played with stuffed birds and monkeys.

The Indus Valley people made a type of art called seals. On the seals, they carved pictures of animals, humans, and many other symbols.

The only transportation in the Indus Valley were boats.

The climate in the Indus Valley was wet and dry. The two seasons the Indus Valley had were wet and dry seasons.

Today, we now call the Indus Valley civilization Pakistan and northwest India.

The Harappan civilization is the first civilization that grew up in the Indus River Valley. It's named after the city Harappa, Pakistan. We do not know much about this civilization since it ended by the early 1700s BC.

The geographic features of the Indus Valley are that India is so huge it's called a subcontinent. Also, the world's highest mountain is the Himalayas. India has a vast desert, many fertile plains, and rugged plataus.
