SCHOOLHOUSE

• All grades in same room
• Used A bell to start and end school
• Use chalkboards and socks as erasers
• Had a water pump student sent out to get water for class
• Girls had to wear skirts

DR SMILEY'S HOUSE

• Had a dumb waiter to send food to the basement
• Stayed in basement to keep cool in summer
• House was his office
• House made of Adobe brick

THE SUBMARINE

• Had one bed to rest
• Had wet cloth so wind would blow through it and cool the air
• A place to give workers a rest

BLACK SMITH

• They branded there horses and cows
• Made horseshoes from iorn
• Had lots of tools
• Sharpens tools with special wheel

CONCLOSION

• I went to the Indio historical museum and leaned some ingesting facts about life in Coachella Valley one Hundred years ago.
