PRESENTATION OUTLINE

INDIANA RIVERSYSTEMS

BY KALEB BOONE

INDIANA HAS MAJOR RIVERS SUCH AS THE WABASH, THE TIPPICANNOE, AND THE OHII RIVER. INDIANA ALSO CONTAINS STREAMS BUT THERE IS A VITAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO. RIVERS ARE DEEP, WIDE, AND CAN SUPPORT MORE TYPES OF LIFE THAN A STREAM CAN.

A large variety of biotic factors are present in Indiana rivers such as a variety of fish species, river otters, humans, algae and moss populations, and any plants or animals on or around the bank.

Some abiotic factors that are present in Indiana River Ecosystems are mainly water, oxygen, nitrogen, soil, stone, and man made structures such as bridges, dams, and docks.

Humans pose a large role in the future of Indiana's River ecosystems. Pollution, over fishing, hunting, and just general boating all effect the life and diversity in the rivers. The health of our rivers is terrible compared to the country. We have the most pollute d rivers in the country.
