• They have jobs no one wants.
• They are really poor people.

SHUDRA

• Shudra are unskilled workers
• They have jobs but they aren't as bad as the untouchables

VAISHVA

• Their job is cattle raising
• They also do trading activities
• They bring farm products to market and lend money to keep various enterprises going

KSHATRIYA

• This is the military or ruling class
• They fight in battles

BRAHMIN

• Priest and teachers are on the top
• The elevated position of the Brahmin goes back to the late Vedic period
