"A good zoo," Stella said, "is a large domain. A wild cage.
Your challenge: design & create a "good" zoo habitat for an animal of your choice.

Criteria

  • It must be 3 demensional
  • It must include a land and water form covering half the exhibit
  • It must be reflective of your inhabitants natural habitat
  • It must include vegetation
  • It must include two animals

Important to remember...

You are a member of a team...cooperation & Collaboration is important!

Important...Choose Wisely!

Let's Begin

  • Pick up a planning packet from your teacher.
  • Meet with your team and choose your inhabitant. {This is a group decision, requires teacher's approval, no groups will have the same inhabitant[s].}

Research

  • Where does your inhabitant live? {Country}
  • What type of land & water forms are a natural part of their habitat?
  • What vegetation grows there?
  • What do they eat? {This will be important when you create their "zoocake".
  • Are there any other animals or birds living in their habitat?
  • What is the climate like?
  • Be sure to use the research page on the Google Site.

"A good zoo," Stella said, "is a large domain. A wild cage. A safe place to be. It has room to roam and humans who don't hurt." She pauses, considering her words. "A good zoo is how humans make amends."Make Stella proud.
