WAYS IMPERIALISM EFFECTED THE WAR

  • Countries wanted to take over other countries
  • Countries were fighting over land and resources
  • The leader can indulge in unsavory laws (dictatorship)
  • Smaller countries lost their land
  • Smaller countries gave up their cultural life styles

IMPERIALISMS ROLE IN WWI

When countries take over other countires, they start to rebel if they feel dominated or don't agree with the rulers laws they feel they must fight and war breaks out due to the feuding countries and want for rebellion

European nations ruled smaller countries called colonies, which competed with each other to amass more colonies

France sent troops to help sultans government which Germany perceived as a threat to Moroccan independence. They sent naval boats however Britain stood up and Germany only received small strips of the French Congo
