ENGLAND

• This cartoon shows how England would "grab" other countries to further economic success, this form of imperialism started in the early 1800's as a result from the industrial revolution and stronger infrastructural systems.
• Before this cartoon was created, countries like England raced to put colonies down In many other countries
• After this was created, England still colonized, however not as actively, England sought to reduce its acts in other countries after many failed economic systems
• England, the imperialist power here, exerted strong motives of economic AND military control

ASIA

• Political cartoon shows the China wanted to colonize and take advantage of Korea
• Imperialist power china had motives of military power
• Before this was drawn (modern day Indonesia) china took control of Korea, fighting Japanese at full strength
• After, Japan won the war and took the same advantages on Korea as china was previously doing... Poor Korea

LATIN AMERICA

• Taken in Honduras, these two men are poor and are seen together on a bench despite race
• At the time, imperialism created a racist environment leaving prejudiced people
• After this was taken, the imperialist power of Latin America, colonization occurred throughout whatever economic motive forces acted upon early colonies
