The Best way to live

1 Year left test
If you went the to doctor and were told you had 1 year left to live, how would you live? What would you do? If you could change 3 things about your life, what would they be?

Pleasure vs. satisfaction

The cost of pleasure is genuine satisfaction
Pleasure-immediate and short- lived.
Satisfaction- sustained beyond the activity producing it.

As a society we are addicted to pleasure. The cost is genuine satisfaction.

Minimalism

Enemy of Excellence
What is the least amount of effort I can give for the maximum reward?
Everyone is looking for the shortcut, the easy way, how to cut corners. Minimalism is the enemy of excellence.

Individualism

What's in it for me?
Individualism- what's in it for me?

Systems drive behaviors

Core habits

Energy Management
Create a list of "core habits"- things you need to do every day to live your best life.
Also manage your energy- what people, places, things, food gives you energy and takes it away. When during the day do you have the most energy- do your most focused work during that time.
