PRESENTATION OUTLINE
A Fresh Start
During the late 1800's millions of people came to America in the search of a better life
Many came seeking religious freedom, such as Christians from Turkey and Jews from Russia. Others came for just freedom in general.
Many came in search of jobs in the booming American industrial complex: jobs in mines, factories, farms, businesses, railroads, etc.
Many immigrants had no experience in democratic countries and couldn't speak English, which made life much harder for them
