Zone and map of ocean it lives in.

This magnificent creature lives at depths of 6000ft., but goes up at night to depths of 250ft. It lives in the Arctic waters.

Physical Adaptations

  • Has a photophore under it's chin
  • Small size
  • Black coloring of womanhood

Behavioral Adaptations

  • Lures it's prey
  • Goes up at night to sunlight zone for more abundance of food
  • Uses an ambush tecniquec

Interesting Facts

  • Only the females have fangs, black coloration, a photophore, and a functional gut. The male only lives long enough to mate.
  • It lives at an average temp. of 41 degreess Fahrenheit( 5 degreess celsius.)

Some negative impacts are...

Fishing nets, and the lack of food caused by overfishing.

But there's good news...

put limits on how many fish or what fish someone could catch, and to use fishing nets as a backup plan only. Just in case.
