PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Malala Yousafzai was born in Pakistan
Malala spoke out against the Taliban and was very vocal. The Taliban had outlawed girls' schooling. They made it a crime by death to educate girls. They blew up schools and threw acid in girls' faces as they walked to school. The threats by the Taliban were very real. That didn't stop Malala who kept speaking out.
One day when Malala was on her way to school, a man with a gun boarded the bus and asked, "Who is Malala?"
Suddenly, a shot rang out and Malala was shot in the head at point blank range. The bus driver drove feverishly to get to a hospital. The hospital was just like a first aid station and could not help Malala much. Soon, she would be transported to another hospital. There they would do their best to help her but her struggle was just beginning.
Survivial is clear as this one young woman fights against a terrorist group. How could they target a girl an innocent girl? Why would they do such a thing? What survival characterstics does Malala show throughout this personal survival memoir?
