WHY WE HYPERVENTILATE

  • Excessive breathing creates low levels of carbon dioxide in your blood.
  • This may cause hyperventilation.
  • Feeling anxious or panicking are the usual reasons for hyperventilation.

WHAT IS HAPPENING

  • Blood receives too much Carbon dioxide
  • Blood becomes acidic
  • Body becomes weak and nauseated

PROCEDURE

  • Pinch through one nostril and breath through your nose.
  • Break every 5 seconds.
  • Breathe in a paper bag.
