Is an inherited neurological, meaning of the brain, that causes involuntary movements, cognitive decline, and emotional disturbance, in other words, HD causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. In the figure above, we can see how the lateral ventricles are affected by the Huntington's disease.

In the US, around 30,000 people suffer of “HD” (Huntington’s disease), 35,000 people exhibit symptoms and 75,000 people carry the abnormal gene that will cause them to develop the disease.

Personality changes, mood swings & depression
Forgetfulness & impaired judgment
Unsteady gait & involuntary movements (chorea)
Slurred speech, difficulty in swallowing & significant weight loss
