Every year two people from each district get picked to go to the hunger games.

Katniss is from district twelve.They're thirteen districts. Katnises sister, Prim gets picked. Katniss feels bad and she volunteers as tribute for her.Peter gets picked too to go to the hunger games.

Everyone gets a rating the highest is 13. Katniss got a rating of 11.5 Peter got a rating of 8.0. It's not good for Katniss because people will target her.

BATTLE TIME!!

Katniss gets targeted by 3 people she so she climbs up a tree and Peter was in the group. Peter did not want to kill Katniss.at night the group was sitting under the tree. Peter wasn't there
so Katniss saw a nest of hornets.Katniss cuts the nest and it falls on them and they died.

Everyone gets one sponsor. Katnises friends gave her water because she had no water. Katniss sees a girl. She is 13 her name is Rue. Katniss didn't kill her she wants to be friends. They are friends and then they hear a person. Rue gets shot Katniss shoots the person and then Rue died.

Katniss buries Rue. Katniss is walking and steps on something. It's Peter, he buried himself in the dirt because he was hurt and couldn't fight. His leg was almost infected. Everything at spawn restocked. Katniss went to spawn and got the stuff. She trips and she sees someone they fight and Katniss is about to get stabbed then Rues friend from her district grabs the girl and beats her to death. He said, "Just once that was for Rue".

When Katniss gets back she helps Peters leg and it gets better.

The Capitol sends out hell hound that are animals with really sharp teeth and run really fast.Katniss and Peter hear something it's the hell hounds the had to run.They jumped on to a platform so they were safe, because the hell hounds can't jump high enough. Rues fiend from her district died because of the hell hounds. There was only one person left besides Peter and Katniss. It was one of the people from when Katniss cut the hornet nest off.

Katniss attacks him, the guy picks her up and puts her head off the platform and her head was about to get eaten, but then Peter pushes him and catches Katniss. Then the fight him and he falls off and the he gets eaten alive.there can only be one winner so Peter and Katniss didn't want to kill each other so they eat berry so that would kill them. She said eat them at three, one two "Stop the can be two winners this year!" Then they don't have to die THEY WON!

I recommend this book if you haven't read it because it has a lot of action and it's very interesting.
