WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE FOR US?

ROTATION MODEL

ADOPTED PRACTICE

While we researched and studied blended learning trends, models and practices, we found ourselves aligning our practices with rotation models. This model is familiar to many of our teachers, as many of them set up stations through which students rotate within a classroom period.

EACH CLASSROOM MAY HAVE DIFFERENT ROTATIONS
Each of our classrooms has a bit of a different environment. Some are set up lecture style, with a laptop cart available for when it is needed. Others are booming with technology with desktops along the back of the class, and either an iPad cart or laptop cart also available to provide students choice. The rotation model gives our teachers a flexible structure in which they can modify and adapt how they provide instruction using blended learning resources, as well as provide students access and choice in and outside of class.

LEVERAGE TECH TO INTERACT
In this class environment, the teacher begins class by lecturing and recording notes on her ipad, later posting them on her class Haiku(LMS). She then sets up rotations, one of which can be online Math assessments and activities using a laptop cart and online Math program. Can you spot the teacher? She's lecturing, while sitting next to a student.
